Candidates from around the world are invited to apply for the 2024-2025 Chinese Government Scholarship at BIT. The program aims to recruit outstanding international students for research or studies at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). BIT is currently home to more than 2,400 international students from 147 different countries.
The Chinese Government Scholarships at Beijing Institute of Technology is open for students from all over the world to study at undergraduate, master, and PhD degree programs, or conduct research. Undergraduate students cannot apply through the “Chinese Government Scholarship – University Program” (only for graduate studies). However, they can apply through the “Chinese Government Scholarship – Bilateral Program”. For example, they can apply through the EU Program, the ministry of education of their countries, Chinese embassies, etc.
Note : Undergraduate students cannot apply through the University Program. They can only apply through the “Chinese Government Scholarship – Bilateral Program” to study at BIT.

Chinese Government Scholarship at BIT Eligibility
In order to apply for this CSC scholarship at BIT, applicants must meet the following criteria.
- be a citizen of a country other than the PRC;
- be in good health both mentally and physically;
- Master programs applicants should be academically excellent, under the age of 35, and hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent;
- PhD programs applicants should be academically excellent, under the age of 40, and hold a master’s degree or its equivalent;
- language requirements:
- hold an HSK certificate (minimum of level 5) for Chinese taught programs:
- have a minimum score of 85 TOEFL or 6 0 overall band in IELTS for English-taught programs (English native speakers are exempted).
- Or to prove other language certificates recognized by BIT
- have at least 1-year related working or internship experience for MBA program applicants.
- meet other requirements of the applied degree program.

How to Apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship at BIT
Interested applicants who would like to apply for this scholarship program to study in Asia, must follow the steps below:
Step 1: CSC online registration
Create an account at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn and choose program Type B. The Agency No. of BIT is 10007. Please read the Designated Chinese universities with their agency number and the CSC Scholarship Application Steps and Required Documents for more details. Download the CSC application form after registration and take note of the CSC serial number.
Step 2: BIT online registration
Create an account at apply.isc.bit.edu.cn, upload the required documents and submit your application to get your BIT application number.

Step 3: Initial Review & Application Fee
If you pass the initial review, you will receive an email with a numbered Initial Review Notice. Then it is time for you to pay the application fee of 600 CNY (non-refundable) directly online and contact BIT advisors for the BIT Advisor Recommendation Form. You should tell the advisors the three numbers, namely CSC serial number, BIT application number, and the number of your Initial Review Notice so that the advisors will complete the recommendation form for you.
Note : Candidates should be aware that there is an application fee of 600 CNY (non-refundable) that they need to pay if they pass the initial review.
Step 4: Comprehensive Interview
Applicants who paid the application fee will be admitted to a Comprehensive Interview. Time and method will be informed through email in advance.
Step 5: Academic Review & Further Reviews
Applicants who pass the Comprehensive Interview will be admitted to the Academic Review and further reviews.
Step 6: Pre-admission
Applicants who pass the academic review and further reviews will receive pre-admission notice.
Step 7: Release of Final Result
