Founded in 1950, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) aims to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs pertaining to India’s external cultural relations; to foster and strengthen cultural relations and mutual understanding between India and other countries; to promote cultural exchanges with other countries and people, and to develop relations with nations.

ICCR Scholarship for Indian Culture Eligibility
To apply for this government scholarship, applicants must have the following profile:
- Be a citizen of any country in the world.
- Be between the age of 18-30 years.
- Medium of instruction is English in all the Universities in India. Applicants should therefore have good knowledge of English to the extent that they are able to fluently speak in English and comprehend lessons in English without any difficulty. To ascertain the English proficiency of the applicants, a 500-word essay in English has been introduced.
