Applications are being received for the Kazakhstan Government Scholarship for International Students. The scholarship is offered through the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to foreign applicants, including persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The scholarship is awarded for full-time studies at higher educational institutions in Kazakhstan.
Selected candidates can study in available fields at host institutions in Bachelor, Master and PhD degree programs. The Republic of Kazakhstan is the largest state located at the same time both in Europe and in Asia, which does not have its own access to the ocean. The population is 18 395 660 people.
Currently, Kazakhstan is the first and only country in Central Asia recognized as a full member of the European higher education area. The poly-cultural environment allows you to quickly and easily adapt to Kazakh identity and life. Universities are open to all new students and can offer educational programs in various areas of professional activity. All higher education institutions are able to offer education in English.

Kazakhstan Government Scholarship Eligibility
Foreign citizens, including individuals of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, are welcome to apply. Furthermore, applicants should meet the following requirements.
- Bachelor Degree Programs: certificate or diploma of basic secondary education with a grade of no less than “good”.
- Master Degree Programs:
- diploma of Bachelor’s or specialist with at least 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA or its equivalent in educational institutions.
- International certificate of proficiency in a foreign language.
- Doctoral Degree Programs:
- Master’s degree with an average score of at least 3.0 (from 4.0) GPA or its equivalent in educational institutions.
- International certificate of proficiency in a foreign language.

- pass the online testing (psycho-technical test) for the identification of adaptative potential;
- wait for the invitation for the online interview.

- motivational essay (250-500 words) in Kazakh or Russian or English.
- letter of recommendation in Kazakh or Russian or English from the educational organization in which the applicant studied, or from the employer;
- a medical certificate for studying abroad, as well as a medical certificate about the absence of a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) and AIDS diseases issued by an official health authority of the candidate’s country of residence;
- invitation letter from Kazakhstan university (if available).
- proposal of the dissertation research in Kazakh or Russian or English (PhD applicants only).
- international certificate, confirming the language skills (Masters and PhD applicants only):
- English language:
- TOEFL IBT – no less than 46 score,
- TOEFL PBT – no less than 453 score,
- IELTS – no less than 5.5;
- German language:
- DSH, Niveau B2,
- TestDaF-Prufung Niveau B2;
- French language:
- TFI – not lower than В2 level on reading and listening sections,
- DELF – B2 level,
- DALF – B2 level,
- TCF – no less than 50 scores.
- An international certificate confirming the possession of a foreign language by a person for whom these languages are native is not required.
