Application are opened for the TDTU Scholarship for International Students. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the Ton Duc Thang University will provide various scholarships to international students. In order to receive TDTU scholarships, you must have a strong academic performance and/or good English/Vietnamese language proficiency. Candidates can apply for graduate programs taught in in English language or Vietnamese language.
The scholarships program prioritize candidates with top academic performance and who are aligned with the university’s objectives for the academic year. Therefore, reaching the minimum GPA as required is compulsory and fundamental, or your application will not be considered. Prospective students are arranged to accommodate in the TDTU dormitory inside the main campus on the arrival date. Cafeterias serving meals and drinks are available at the dormitory area.
Founded in 1997, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU – Đại học Tôn Đức Thắng) is a public research university with the main campus in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. TDTU has been one of the top research universities in Vietnam. It is under the management of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and is named after Tôn Đức Thắng, who was Vice-President of Vietnam from 1960 to 1969 under the presidency of Ho Chi Minh and later became President of Vietnam from 1969 to 1980.

GPA ≥ 3.6 (on a scale of 4.0) 100% scholarship:

GPA ≥ 3.4 (on a scale of 4.0) 50% scholarship:

- Tuition fee : 55.000.000 VND (2 years) / 28.775.000 VND (Science and Technology), 24.845.000 VND (Business and Social)

- Dormitory : 600.000 VND per month / 600.000 VND per month.

Note : For program taught in Vietnamese language, students will first learn Vietnamese up to B2 level.

TDTU Scholarship for International Students Eligibility
To benefit from this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Master’s Program applicants
- Graduated from university ranking in TOP 1000 universities of THE or QS or URAP or ARWU ranking
- GPA of Bachelor’s Program above 3.6 (in scale 4.0)
- All subjects must be passed
- Good in English.
PhD Program applicants
- Graduated from university ranking in TOP 1000 universities of THE or QS or URAP or ARWU ranking
- GPA of Bachelor and Master studies must be above 3.6 (in scale 4.0)
- All subjects must be passed
- Have good comments of the Faculties, Vietnamese Studies.
